To whom we beseech in our strife

By whom we are taught to forgive
From which we are given strength to live
Your Light shines forth to illuminate the darkness
Free us from the utter starkness

Igniting the deep and hidden spark
Immaculate heart so full of Light
Filled with love by sacred might

Truest of love has no boundary in space and time
Many times men have put it to rhyme
A mother's grace descend upon us all
Holy of Holies begins to enthrall
Within our hearts dwells the key
To all there is to hear and see
Sweet Mother of GOD, your love embrace

Mankind can not destroy what you give free
Ancient truths to all will be

I was there when so many fell
All those days that seemed like hell
Chaos met us at every turn
Flames engulfing, so many did burn
Can't surmise what caused so much hate
Time stood still, suffering no abate
Bluest sky lifted me aloft
Upon the ground oh so soft
Can't seem to recall more than this
Lost all sense of eternal bliss
Numbed by all this earthly demise
Seek to recover myself so wise
Friends did perish by my side
Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide
Cataclysm of despair swallowed us whole
Clawing our way out of nightmarish bowl
Why I survived, why sent back?
Why did we need to go attack?
No sense to any of the madness that ensued
Wasted lives lost to senseless aptitude
Here again I dwell, empty existence
Awaiting the time of His insistence
No rhyme, no reason to the days
Sifting my way through endless maze
Purpose I know lies road ahead
Save as many as I can from the dead
Living souls seem so lost and empty
Full of greed, corruption and vanity
See no reason, no worth to man
But yet, all is part of Holy Plan
Mine is but to do His will
Sometimes is the bitterest pill
Trust His wisdom, all shall pass
As He foretold me in ethereal gas
Light shall shine upon the dark
And soon I'll know why the mark.
