BLESS! I pray all are well and having a
blessed day or evening.
Beautiful morning here, sunny, blue skies, birds singing,
bright sunlight on the leaves of trees, on the mountains with their red, brown
and snow on top, the flowers, thank you Jesus, GOD.
Today’s Bible messages come from Jeremiah and Acts….
Jeremiah, chapters 6-8….
The fallen….will be brought down when I punish them….
Look for the ancient paths….and walk in it
You will find rest for your souls
I appointed watchmen over you
Listen for the sound of the trumpet
You are witnesses…observe what will happen to them…the fruit
of their schemes….
Burnt offerings do not please Me
Obstacles….will perish
An army is coming…stirred up from the ends of the earth
They are cruel and show no mercy
The enemy is on every side
The destroyer upon us
They act corruptly….
The Lord has rejected them
Stand at the Gate of the Lord’s house….proclaim this
message…..”Hear the Word of the Lord, all you people who come through these
gates to worship the Lord”…….The Lord says, “Reform your ways and I will let
you live in this house”
Deceptive words are worthless
Come and stand before Me
This house which bears My name
I have been watching….the wickedness of My people
I called but you did not answer
Do you not see?.....will you not listen?
The children gather…to the Queen of Heaven
My anger and wrath will be poured out
Add your burnt offering to your other sacrifices……eat them
yourselves….(GOD does not need money and things. Offer up your sin and guilt)
Pay attention…
Again and again I sent My servant and prophets….you did not
listen
Truth has perished…
Detestable idols…have defiled it
Beware, the days are coming
Food will be no more
The land will become desolate
At that time, the bones of the priests…will be removed from
their graves…exposed to the sun….that which they loved gathered up…will be like
dung lying on the ground
Survivors will prefer death over life
They cling to deceit….wickedness…
The law of the Lord…handled falsely
They rejected the Word of the Lord
What kind of wisdom do they have?
Greedy for gain…practice deceit…prophets and priests…….they
will fall among the Fallen…when they are punished
I will take away their harvest….all will be taken from them
From Acts, chapters 9-12….
Peter called the believers..known all over…in the Lord
All devout…GOD-fearing….
One had a vision…saw an angel…
Your gifts and prayers to the poor…have come up as an
memorial…
The angel told everything
GOD has made clean…what was taken back to Heaven
The meaning of the vision…why you have come…ask
GOD has heard your prayer
Remembered your gifts to the poor
Sent the good news through Jesus Christ
GOD had already chosen…the people to testify….in whom
receive forgiveness of sins through His name
The Holy Spirit…circumcised believers….speaking in tongues
and praising GOD
Baptized…with the Holy Spirit..in the name of Jesus
Christ…received the Word of GOD
He will bring you a message…with the Holy Spirit….
When heard this…praise GOD….grant repentance…to those
scattered…spreading the Word…among them
Telling them the good news about the Lord Jesus…(He has
returned)
Be glad…full of the Holy Spirit and faith
The disciples called Christians…the Holy Spirit predicted
would spread over the entire world
Some who belong to the church persecute them
After the Passover….an angel of the Lord appeared……(the one
I saw in the sky?)….Know without a doubt that the Lord has sent His angel
The earth is full of problems, causing our thoughts to be
full of stress and anxiety. Our focus is
drawn away from the Lord and things seem dark.
The Lord stands back watching and waiting. We try and fix things ourselves. Call out to Him and He will immediately
spring into action. Our free will is
given to us to choose or not. Draw near
to Him and He will draw near to you…
A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord
delivers him from them all…..Psalm 34:19
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I
am your GOD. I will strengthen you and
help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand…..Isaiah 41:10
The Lord never ever changes.
He is the beginning and the end.
He made a beautiful world designed perfectly to provide for us all we
NEED. However, having plunged into sin
and corruption, evil and wickedness, we plunge forward into a world filled with
uncertainty and despair. The only cure is GOD. Focus on His guiding Light to navigate your
way through to the home He promised.
I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have
peace and confidence. In the world you
have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good
cheer. For I have overcome the
world. John 16:33
I would like to talk a bit about why GOD allows things to
happen, bad things, in our lives, in the world.
I have talked of this many times before and for the sake of those who
are new and not reading older postings and as reminder to those who have, I
touch upon it again.
Now in the beginning of mankind, we had the real or symbolic
Adam and Eve. We also had the gift of
free will, which GOD gave to them. This
means the freedom to make our own choices.
Now there was also the devil, the fallen angel number one, who was
allowed to be in the world. Do you think
that GOD, who knows all, sees all, could not easily have stopped the devil and
darkness from being here? GOD said to
His children, go wherever you want, do
whatever you want, eat whatever you want, BUT do NOT eat from the tree of life. That is forbidden.
Now here comes the devil, who tempts the woman who then
convinces the man to disobey what GOD said not to do. Well here we have a few important
points…..one is that they had freedom to choose; two is that the devil TEMPTS
NOT FORCES Eve to eat from the tree to disobey what GOD said not to do; three
is we have Eve who convinces Adam to do the same; fourth is that the devil
manipulated one to get to the other who was closer to GOD as first
creation. This last is perfect example
of how the devil uses others to get to those who are closer to GOD. He is the great ventriloquist, the great
manipulator, deceiver, liar. You must be
on guard and it is easier to do so when you are in communication and focus on
the Lord.
Now, bad things…..back to free will…. Here in the world, a
wonderful gift, where the Father gives freedom to His children, just as we
begin to give more freedom to our children as they grow up. They hopefully learn that this freedom comes
at a price. Outcomes of bad choices and
the responsibility, ownership of them.
Many bad things happen in our lives and we complain to GOD and ask,
“WHY?”. Well first think long and hard,
could this event, this bad thing, be the result of a bad choice I made recently
or not so recently or even wayyyyyy back in my youth or childhood? If we did not realize it then and ask GOD for
forgiveness and help to correct it then whose fault is it now? Just like He gave the first man and woman
choice and told not what to do, well who owned the result? Like a parent tells a child not to put finger
in the socket, or worse if it has a cover on it, not to pull it off and put
finger in socket; then the child does so and ZAPPP!. Well child or not they own it. And what if that zap coaused tiny damage to
nerves in fingers and no biggie at time but that damage spreads over their life
to the point where hey, “Doctor I am losing feeling in my fingers and hand
what’s causing it?”
Also, bad things happen when GOD may be disciplining as
being our Father; tests us being our Teacher; essentially slaps us on the head
to get our attention, being our teacher and Father; is trying to strengthen us
or prepare us for something ahead, being our Trainer; has something bad happen
to detour us or delay us or stop us from moving towards a far worse problem
ahead on our path, being our Protector/Guide; or shakes us up to get us back on
track focused on Him, again being our Teacher, Coach, Guide. Also, and most prevalently would be that the
devil has had free reign in this world to wreak havoc. He was allowed to do so, perhaps even
instructed to do so…..and GOD stands by to see what we will do in response….
He shows us this in JOB, where He tells the devil, to
consider JOB. I think he is the most
worthy of my children on earth right now, give it your best shot and see what
he does. JOB did quite well. Read JOB and see if you could have reacted as
he did to what the devil did and note exactly what the devil did and compare it
to things in your life and the world.
So brothers and sisters, before you question GOD on why,
think back to see if you see the answer, for I promise you this….GOD will tell
you the same thing when you ask it either then or when you stand before
Him. Thou shalt not test the Lord your
GOD…..Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find…the answers. You have to ask the right questions.
