Today's message I opened to was simply from Jonah 2:8...Those who pay regard to vain idols forsake their true loyalty.    This speaks clearly of idolatry, but people confuse what all is meant here by that. 
Anything we place ahead of GOD in our daily lives, on a regular basis makes it an idol.  It can be our kids, spouses, family, jobs, possession, activities, etc, not just a statue or painting.  It is not just about worshiping some false GOD like days of old.  Idols come in many forms.  Career, money, school, self and on and on.

Long ago GOD walked amongst us.  He gloried in time with us.  He gave us dominion over all the Earth!  But we let vanity set in and idolatry and each went on our own way away from Him, seeking our own control over the world in some way, and our lives.

Today every man sits under his own separate vine and his own separate fig tree......Micah 4:4


But what does this independence profit the soul if he does not the universal schemata of the interdependence of souls through each one's I AM Presence, as the Tree of Life....referencing both Genesis, the beginning, Alpha and Revelations, the end, Omega.  Those who are of the Vine shall partake of the Tree of Life, all its branches.

Each one's beloved Christ self, as the Vine.     "I am the true Vine, and my Father is the vinedresser.  Every branch of mine that bears no fruit, He takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit....John 15:1-2  i.e. one fruit taken to the Light, another replaces it. 


Don't you know that you yourselves are GOD's temple and that GOD's spirit lives in you? ...

We are all pat of the whole, interconnected with each other along the Tree of Life, just like a family tree you look at for your ancestors.  Jesus, GOD the root of the vine from which we all branch out from.
