Today I opened to the Book of John, my fave!   Number of important things said with meanings below the superficial ones.  Jesus never said anything without a deeper meaning.

First, in chapter 7......
We have his disciples telling him to proclaim loudly who he is saying...For no man works in secret if he seeks to be known openly.  If you do these things, show yourself to the world...   Jesus said to them, "My time is not yet come, but your time is always here".....John 7:4-6

Here Jesus is speaking not to his disciples but to he who speaks thru them, the great puppeteer.
Satan speak thru them telling Jesus hohoooo here you are speak out from the mountain tops who you are, boast to the world of yourself openly.  Yet Jesus is not fooled and rebukes him saying that it is not time yet, but your time is always here, in all his vanity proclaiming falsehoods, lifting himself up above others.  Jesus was not fooled here, he knows it is not his time and will not have his hand forced to raise himself up to the Father til it is the proper time.  This speaks plainly to all those who vainly proclaim themselves to the masses as servants of Christ..  Going to an fro in private jets, expensive cars, large entourages, espousing their high holiness in the Lord.  That should be a red flag to all of you!  Think hard, how did Jesus travel about?  He walked all over, asking for nothing, no donations, no offerings.  When he went to Jerusalem how did he arrive?  On an ass or small colt, depending on which Bible you read.  He humbled himself.  When he performed miracles did he say out loud, yea, praise the Lord, you are healed, behold everyone, look at what I did.  Noooo, he told the healed to go and sin no more, and tell no one what was done unto you.  Beware children of the self-aggrandizers, the vain proclaimers of the Lord.  They are not of the Lord for the Lord, but of Satan and for themselves.  Listen to your heart and when you see or hear the red flags, heed them!

Later on, Jesus went up into the temple and taught.  The Jews marveled at it, saying, "How is it that this man has learning, when he has never studied?"  So Jesus answered them, "My teaching is not mine, but His who sent me; if any man's will is to do His will, he shall know whether the teaching is from GOD or whether I am speaking on my own authority."  He who speaks on his own authority seeks his own glory; but he who seeks the glory of Him who sent him is true, and in him there is no falsehood...John 7:14-18

Here He is telling us exactly what I touched upon in previous paragraph.  If you seek the Lord's glory, your heart will tell you who is true and who is false.   Jesus did not need to learn from man, for he was given all knowledge from the Father, the best and most perfect teacher.

Later in chapter, he says something of which we all are guilty of, I know I catch myself doing it.

Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment...John 7:24

You know Me, and you know where I come from?   But I have not come of My own accord; He who has sent Me is true, and Him you do not know...John 7:28

He is telling us to our faces we do not know Him,  the Father.  Get to know Him personally!

You will seek Me and you will not find Me; where I am you cannot come...John 7:34

To those who do not believe, who are blind to the Truth, will not find Him and will not go where He is.

If any one thirst, let him come to Me and drink.  He who believes in Me, as the scripture has said, "Out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water."...John 7:38

Then later in chapter 7... The officers then went back to the chief priests and Pharisees, who said to them, "Why did you not bring Him?"  The officers answered, "No man has ever spoken like this man!"  The Pharisees answered them, "Are you led astray, you also?  Have any of the authorities or of the Pharisees believed in Him?  But this crowd, who do not know the law, are accursed."..John 7:45-49

Wide open they are saying weeeee know the law, weee are the law, weeee are the experts, you and the people do not know the law, you are cursed.  They are clearly proclaiming themselves above all others.  You people learn from us, we will tell you what to believe!  This is the way of the church and has always been the way of those in authority who seek to control the people.  John gives this as a clear example for us.  Scroll back up to what Jesus says...He who believes in Me , out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water.  Learn from GOD, seek GOD, Love GOD above all others, all else and you will be shone the Truth, the true glory of GOD!

I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in darkness, but will have the Light of Life!...John 8:12


Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.  Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything....James 1:2-4

Be prepared to suffer for Me, in My Name.  All suffering has meaning in My Kingdom.  Pain and problems are opportunities to demonstrate your trust in Me.  Bearing your circumstances bravely---even thanking Me for them---is one of the highest forms of praise.  This sacrifice of thanksgiving rings golden-tones bells of joy throughout heavenly realms.  On Earth also, your patient suffering sends out ripples of good tidings in ever-widening circles.
When suffering strikes, remember that I am sovereign and that I can bring good out of everything.
Do not try to run from pain or hide from problems.  Instead, accept adversity in My Name, offering it up to Me for My purposes.  Thus, your suffering gains meaning and draws you closer to Me.  Joy emerges from the ashes of adversity through your trust and thankfulness.

That message touches on a few topics I have discussed in the past.  Why we suffer, why anyone suffers.  If you recall I said that there are different reasons, the devil has free reign to wreak havoc and chaos; to strengthen us, test us, discipline us or detour/delay us from something worse. 
We exercise to strengthen our bodies, attend schools, read etc to strengthen our minds.  But we need to strengthen our spirits as well, so GOD does that for us.  We can do it as well by seeking Him.

Also it touched on what I had talked about tithing.  Giving thanks and sacrificing our suffering, giving it up, offering it up to Him for our sacrifice, our sin offering.
