Today's Bible messages come to us from Jeremiah and Lamentations....
Jeremiah, chapter 52....

The Gate...near the King's Garden...in the land where He...set the Temple...some of the poorest people...rest
The Temple of the Lord..made of pure gold....two pillars...under it....
Three doorkeepers...in charge....A seat of honor...higher than the others

From Lamentations, preface and chapter 1....

Much of population....left behind...in deep shame and destruction....suffering...
Few hope...where...anguish over a broken fallen world
Deserted lies the city....like a widow....among the nations...weeping at night...no comfort...friends become enemies...no resting place....all pursue her...in the midst
The roads....desolate....priests groan...foes become masters...because of many sins
All splendor departed...
People fled before pursuer...wandering....
People fell into enemies hand...no one to help
Enemies laugh at her destruction....(America?...Las Vegas?)
So unclean....her filthiness her future
All her treasures...forbidden
People search for food...barter to keep alive...
Suffering....the Lord brought on...in His fierce anger

Seek the Lord not just once a day but throughout the day to help keep yourself on track.  Let Him be your confidante.  Do not let bad things pull you away from Him.  You are not being punished.  Most bad things are blessings unseen to our eyes.  His plan is intricate yet simple.  Let Him be Him and trust in Him.

Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to Him, for GOD is our refuge.....Psalm 62:8
