Side by side we marched and fell
Such unpleasantness, seemed like hell
Foolish men we mortals be
Thought I as i fell to knee
Begging GOD to save my soul
Blood oozing out of the fleshly hole
"Why me?," I did ask
No more in sun to bask
Worthless, these reasons for which we fought
What fools to all be caught
Up in the deceit that we were told
Caused us to march into battle so bold
Pride and arrogance we all had
Look at us now, oh so sad
Lying here amidst the blood soaked ground
Suddenly I hear a sound
Light approaching from where not known
Visions appearing, feel not alone
Peaceful sense envelops my heart
Voices saying, "You've played your part
No more needed upon this earth
Time for your soul's rebirth
Many yet to pass this way
Wars will not end on this day
Man must suffer pre-ordained fate
Much to fall on certain date
Be thee of good cheer, for your return
Entrance to Heaven you did earn
Faith of yours was duly noted
Spirit of yours is newly coated
Robe of righteousness to enter door
Into the Light forevermore
No return of thy soul
You are now once again whole
Let go all you love
In this world, now you're above
Thank you for all you've done
Feel the love of the one True Son...
