We live in an imperfect world infected with sin.  When we seek to be perfect we are trying to be GOD.  Only the Lord is perfect.  Seek to be close to Him so His perfection shines on us.  Never expect to be perfect but to seek to be with Him  moving in that direction and thus attain perfection through Him when once we rejoin with He who is all.  When we seek to be fulfilled in others, in earthly pleasures or accomplishments, attainments we are making idols of these things.  …..

You shall have no other gods before Me….Exodus 20:3

GOD’s story is powerful.  Filled with hope, struggle and failure.  The Word is Salvation.  Renewel to which GOD is working, ends the story.  Jesus is the one, the center, redemption.  He invites you to take your place, believe, understand, live the story of Jesus.  Commit to continually add hope making deeper connections with the Bible.  Give help, seek other people engage the Bible together.  Experience community.  The most crucial thing is for GOD Himself to guide you in good understanding. 

Today’s Bible message comes to us from Joshua, chapters 8-10…

Joshua…the javelin…will deliver….the city….as soon as…in position…

Look..up ino the sky…in any direction…when Joshua….has taken the city

Those in ambush…on both sides…of Israel…

Joshua…draws back the hand…

The javelin…will carry off …all those who live….as the Lord has instructed

Joshua…ordered to take…down the entrance of the city gate

Then Joshua to build altar to the Lord

Moses…the servant of the Lord…commanded it built according to the Book of the Law

On it..the fellowship offerings….in the presence of Joshua…judges standing on sides

Joshua to read all the words of the law..to the whole assembly…just as is written in the Book of Law

GOD’s wrath….will fall on…the assembly…

Servants commanded to…do what is right…for the needs of the Lord

Choose!

The five kings…take up their positions against…the Israelites

The Lord said, “Do not be afraid, none of them will stand”

The Lord shall hurl down large hailstones upon them…on the day the Lord gave over to Israel

Joshua will say, “sun stand still…and moon”

The sun will stop in the middle of the sky…for half a day

A day when the Lord listened to a human being

Then Joshua will return with all of Israel

The Lord has given…Joshua…the whole army…..

Joshua said, “Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.  Be strong and courageous.”

This is what the Lord will do….

The world is full of much despair and ugliness.  It is also full of much beauty.  The ugliness is of darkness through mankind; the beauty if from GOD.  Notice the beauty in the world each day, at least five things to start your day.  These are reminders to us, like billboard neon signs of the Lord say, “Look and see I am all around.”  Let those who have eyes see and those who have ears hear also means this!!

Same goes for internally.  Focus on the negative the dark the evil and it will drag you into the pit.  Focus on GOD, His beauty, the good, the positive and you will begin to elevate upwards.  You will see and hear clearly above the chaos of sound and imagery that is man. 

Look to the Lord and His strength; seek His face always….Psalm 105:4
