Prayers for all the latest victims and their families of the Istanbul bombings….

Today’s Bible messages come to us from John and Ecclesiastes….

First from John, chapters 7-9…..

One of their number…a man…..of Galilee….Jesus…spoke to the people…..follow Me….the Light of life…testify on my behalf….

Testify…for the Father….from the beginning….

He who sent you is trustworthy

Do what pleases Him

You will know the Truth

The Truth will set you free...Abraham’s descendant

You are doing the works of your Father…have come here…from GOD….

Tell the Truth…believe Me….you belong to GOD

Obey My Words…and never taste death

I AM Jesus….the Temple….

Man blind from birth…..so that the works of GOD might be displayed in him

Come home seeing

Call Jesus….receive His sight

Keep the Sabbath

Acknowledge Jesus….the One…see…open your eyes…listen….

Know that GOD listens..to those who do His will

From Ecclesiastes, chapters 2-5…..

Everything is meaningless……nothing gained under the sun……

Turn thoughts to wisdom…

What can the successor do that has not already been done?

Light is better than darkness

The wise…the fool come to the same fate

All things toiled for…..left to one who comes after

Will that person be wise or foolish?

Yet they will have control over the fruit of thy toil

This is meaningless

A person may labor with wisdom, knowledge and skill, and then they must leave all they own to another who has not toiled for it

This is meaningless

Anxious striving is grief and pain…this is meaningless

Eat..drink..find satisfaction in your own toil…this is from GOD

Please Him…GOD gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness

Sinners…He gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases GOD

This is meaningless

There is a time for everything….a time to die….plant and uproot…..to heal….to tear down and to build up….to weep and to laugh….to mourn and to dance…to scatter and to gather….to embrace….to search…to give up…to keep and to throw away…to tear and to mend…to be silent and to speak…to love and for peace……

He made everything beautiful in its time

He set eternity of heart

No one can fathom what GOD has done from the beginning to the end

Everything GOD does will endure forever

Nothing can be taken or added to it

What is has been…what will be has been……GOD will call the past to account…(for weak faith, doubters, unbelievers and wickedness)

All comes from dust and returns to dust

All toil and achievement spring from one person’s envy of another

This is meaningless

I see a man all alone…content…..has no one to help….may be overpowered…is not quickly broken….but wise….knows how to heed a warning….saw that all who lived under the sun follow youth….chasing after the wind

Guard your steps….when you go to the house of GOD….listen rather than offer sacrifice

Do not be quick with your mouth….hasty in heart….let your words be few….many words mark the speech of a fool

When you make a vow to GOD…fulfill it

Do not let your mouth lead you in sin

Do not protest the Temple messenger…..

Fear GOD

Whoever loves money….loves wealth is never satisfied…this is meaningless

For the rich..their abundance permits them no sleep

Wealth hoarded….departs

As everyone comes, so they depart…..what do they gain?......they toil for the wind…with great affliction, frustration and anger

Eat, drink…find satisfaction in labor…during the few days GOD has given

The more you spend time with the Lord, the more you believe.  When hardships befall you, you doubt Him.  This is our humanness.  His ways are not known, a mystery, so ask for discernment, to learn Him. 

Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him….Psalm 34:8

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,”  declares the Lord.  “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts”…..Isaiah 55:8-9
