Another hot hot day here in the valley, everyone stay cool.

Today’s Bible message comes to us from a lesser known prophet, Ezra.  Ezra was one of the early prophets.

Ezra, chapters 7-10….

Favor..the King….the hand of the Lord GOD….

Daniel…the descendants with him….200 men…….Michael…..assembled….among the people….men of learning….so that they might bring…the gracious hand of GOD….so that to protect us from the enemies…

The Twelve…present there for the house of GOD….are consecrated to the Lord

The hand of GOD…protects us from enemies….

Everything accounted for by number…recorded….

Sacrifice …as a sin offering………………detestable practices

Leaders and officials…have led the way in unfaithfulness

The Word of GOD gathered…because of this unfaithfulness…because our sins and guilt have reached to the heavens

The Lord has been gracious in giving us a firm place..in His sanctuary….relief from our bondage….a wall of protection

What can we say?...for we have forsaken the commands….land polluted….corruption of peoples….impurity….what has happened to us is a result of our evil deeds and our great guilt…

Make a covenant before GOD…..an oath….over the unfaithfulness…..forfeit all property…..before the house of GOD…..do His will…..honor the Lord…separate yourselves from the people around you…who have been unfaithful

I am, I was, I will always be!  I am the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end!  We are weak beings only designed to handle time in 24 hour increments.  When we ponder and focus on more than that, our mind descends to worry and fear as we slide into the control of darkness.  He is timeless so focus on Him in His timelessness where He takes upon Himself the future and the present and removes the past from our shoulders.  As you do so, the burdens of what is beyond today and gone in the past diminish and disappear. 

“I am the Alpha and the Omega,”  says the Lord GOD, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”…Revelation 1:8
