Good Monday to all, and yes the cool weather has made it to Vegas, so sad.  Snow on the mtns too.  Icck!  Looks pretty from farrr away tho.

I will share with you what I opened to the last two days in the Bible.  First is from the Prophet Zechariah and the second from 2 Peter.
Zechariah was the eleventh of the twelve minor prophets in the Bible and also a priest of the Hebrews.  He was one of the many martyred prophets and is mentioned in Luke and Matthew by Jesus as having been slain between the altar and the Temple.

Be silent, all flesh, before the Lord; for he has roused himself from his holy dwelling...Zechariah 2:13

And many nations shall join themselves to the Lord in that day, and shall be my people; and I will dwell in the midst of you, and you shall know that the Lord of hosts ahs sent me to you.....Zechariah 2:11.

The Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trial, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment, and especially those who indulge in the lust of defiling passion and despise authority.....2 Peter 2:9

Speaking of the fallen angels and their followers....
These are waterless springs and mists driven by a storm; for them the nether gloom of darkness has been reserved.  For, uttering loud boasts of folly, they entice with licentious passions of the flesh, men who have barely escaped from those who live in error.  They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption; for whatever overcomes a man, to that he is enslaved.  For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overpowered, the last state has become the first.  For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it, to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them.  It has happened to them according to the true proverb, the dog turns back to his own vomit, and the sow is washed only to wallow in the mire.....2 Peter 2:17-22

Try hard not to fall back into the lives we leave behind.  Best example of that was the Jews after being rescued from Egypt turned back to the worship of false gods and idols and their sinful ways, for which they had to wander the wilderness for forty years, purging the peoples of their sin.

First of all you must understand this, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own passions and saying, "Where is the promise of his coming?  For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things have continued as they were from the beginning of creation."  They deliberately ignore this fact, that by the Word of GOD, heavens existed long ago, and an earth formed out of water and by means of water, through which the world that then existed was deluged with water and perished.  But by the same Word the heavens and earth that now exist have been stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men...2 Peter 3:3-7

Therefore beloved, since you wait for these, be zealous to be found by Him without spot or blemish, and at peace.  And count the forbearance of the Lord as salvation....2 Peter 3:14-15

Try not to let misfortune and failed plans drag you down.  Instead, use them as a reminder to talk to Jesus.  Talking with Him blesses and strengthens the relationship you have with Him.  This in turn will change the disappointments into opportunities for good.  Practice this discipline with little disappointments.  These little setbacks can draw you away from Him.  When you can change these to opportunities for growth or strength, then over time you can reach the perspective of the apostle Paul who said....whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ.  What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things.  I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ....Philippians 3:7-8

GOD Bless!
