Blessings to all this day and hopes for your safety and happiness.  Special prayers to those in London who are suffering from yet another terrorist attack.  Also, for those in Nassiryah, Iraq who were injured or killed.  I pray those who are misguided and twisted by the evil into doing what they did.

Today's Bible message comes to us from 1 Kings 15-17...

To the Lord...the temple articles...prevent anyone...in the treasuries...withdrawing...
All other events...committed...against Him
He did not leave...the Word....through His servant...because of...anger...........the Word...I AM...about to wipe...from your house...succeeded by...His house...
At that time...relative or friend...who spoke against....worthless idols...commit...to the Lord...
They not written of in the Book...had plotted...the same sin...Jeroboam had....
He carried out...and the others followed...
Built a city...and all those before him...achieved...Baal....
Word of the Lord....whom I serve....turn eastward...and stay there..........in the morning...there will be no rain in the land...
Elijah said...for this is what...will be until the Lord sends rain...and finally...man of GOD...you will come...carried to the upper room...where He is staying...

Many of us are constantly trying to do better in the eyes of GOD.  We, and I fall into this trap to, feel we are not doing enough, especially in periods of inactivity.  We need to be helping more or doing bigger acts of kindness.  We feel we are falling short or failing if we do not.  But He reminds us that His love is unconditional.  These acts are important, but to be able to do them non-stop is unrealistic.  Do the best you can and there are times He wants you to rest.  He does not want us to feel unworthy of that love. 

The Lord your GOD is with you, He is mighty to save.  He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing....Zephaniah 3:17

In you, Lord my GOD, I put my trust.  I trust in you; do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me....Psalm 25:1-2

Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths.  Guide me in your Truth and teach me, for you are GOD my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.....Psalm 25:4-5
