Today's Bible messages come to us from Habukkuk and Song of Songs, two lesser known books of the Old Testament.

From Habakkuk, preface and 1-3....

The time of the transition....to ...the form of His...divine....closes....in
GOD's....victory...correction....will be judged...in faith and patience
When GOD pronounces....what...what is meant....to be...celebrate.....GOD's intervention....
Pray...in the meantime...

The prophecy....I call....you do not...tolerate....
Justice is perverted....impetuous people
Seize dwellings not their own....swifter than leopards...
Swooping to devour....violence....
Kings...rulers...capture...people whose strength....is their GOD
Lord appointed them.....ordained them....silently.....more righteous....gathers them....to keep....emptying His net..(to save the fish of the world who are His righteous.)
I stand watch....write down the revelation....which awaits appointed time....
It speaks of the end....will certainly come
The enemy is puffed up...scorns....will suddenly arise....shaming your house...to ruin
Your life....will be filled with....disgrace....violence
Your destruction.....cities and everyone in them
What value is....an image that teaches lies
Woe to him....covered with gold and silver(the rich)

Let all of the earth....stand in awe of the Lord
Our time shall be made known
Wrath....of GOD came....in our day....filled the earth....
His power....shook the earth....mountains crumbled....nations trembled
Sun and moon stood still in the heavens.....
Wait patiently for the day of calamity
The Sovereign Lord...on the heights....


From Song of Songs, preface and 1-4...

Traditional...Middle East...the bride and groom....of wedding...gathered together...men and women...to join the celebration...love..and the beauty...of the world...of the creation...of GOD...(people of the traditional Middle East will join together in the celebration of the creation of GOD)

Solomon....is the....fragrance poured out
Dark....of Jerusalem...angry..
You whom I love...most beautiful...flocks....know...of the shepherds...among...you
My perfume spreads its fragrance....
I AM...the valley of lilies among thorns
Apple tree among the forest
I sit....over...apples with love
Do not arouse desires...
Listen My beloved...come with Me....winter is past....on the earth....time of renewal is here
Hear My voice
Until he day breaks and the shadows flee....look for the one...My heart loves
Get up now...go through the streets...find him
The watchmen...had brought him....to the....gates
Coming from the wilderness...all wearing the sword
Look...Solomon's warriors...all experienced in battle....prepared for the terrors of the night
Look on the King....wearing the crown His Mother made for Him

How beautiful...your veil...descending...
Your sheep...alone....browse among the lilies

Jesus knows how hard it is to remain focused on Him.  The earth and life on it is full of things to draw us away from Him. But when we do refocus our attention on Him we achieve a victory over darkness each time thus strengthening us so take heart.  

Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of GOD, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.  For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are---yet was without sin.  Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need....Hebrews 4:14-16

Our weakness does not disgust Jesus like it does humans.  It does the opposite, it draws Him to us.  When I am weak I am strong....I AM strong.  When weak IAM..the I AM draws near to us and makes us strong.  Just give control over to Him.  Do not feel worthless when you have to rely on Him so much it is what He wants.  He loves us unconditionally and wants to help us.  Then thank Him for the need to call on Him.  Thank Him for the help.  Giving control to Him is the ultimate trust. 

Always giving thanks to GOD the father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ...Ephesians 5:20


This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says:  "In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it.".......Isaiah 30:15
The Lord is gracious and righteous; our GOD is full of compassion.  The Lord protects the simple-hearted; when I was in great need, He saved me.  Be at rest once more, O my soul, for the Lord has been good to you...Psalm 116:5-7
