BLESS! I pray all are well and having a
blessed day or evening.
Slaves to sin!!! We
are no longer slaves to anything for we were set free but Jesus long ago. Yet many are still slaves to many things in
this world. Choose not to be! Be they sins, guilt, shame, pain,
possessions, people, places, addictions, jobs, employers, emotions, etc. Choose to be free! GOD gave us free will, choose wisely.
Today’s Bible message comes from Psalms again, chapters
26-31….
My soul…my life….I praise the Lord….
The Lord is my Light and my salvation….
My enemies and foes will fall
I seek..the house of the Lord….His temple….the shelter of
His Sacred Tent…..
I will sing….to the Lord….seek His face….my helper….my
Savior
The Lord will receive me…in the land of the Lord
Lord, my rock….hear my cry…..lift up my hands….do not drag
me away with the wicked….repay them for their deeds….
He will tear them down….because they have no regard for the
Lord
Praise be the Lord….my strength….my shield…he helps me…I praise
Him…Salvation…inheritance…shepherd forever
Ascribe to the Lord….the glory due His name….the splendor of
His holiness…..
The voice of the Lord….is powerful….majestic…flashes like
lightning…all cry “GLORY”
The Lord is enthrones king forever
Blesses His people with peace
Lord you exalted me….healed me….brought me up from the realm
of the dead…spared me from the pit…
Sing praises to the Lord…praise His holy name…will never be
shaken….
Proclaim your faithfulness….turn…heart…do not be silent
Lord…let me never be put to shame….deliver me into your
righteousness….come quickly…save me….into your hands I commit my spirit…my
faithful GOD
Those who cling to worthless idols….anguish of the soul….in
the hands of the enemy….in distress…grow weak with sorrow…forgotten…dead….hear………TRUST
IN THE LORD
Give unfailing love….to the Lord….
We people tend to go about our days in a daze, like robots,
mindless souls roaming about. When an
obstacle blocks our way we are stuck at a loss as to what to do. This is a point of choice on our path, just
like a point on a line. We can go up or
down. We can get angry, frustrated, feel
sorry for ourselves, panic. This leads
down a slippery slope, for we stand then at the precipice. This happens many times on our journey. Take time to calm yourself and seek the Lord
and He will lower a ladder down and offer His hand to lift you above it. As He does you will see from His perspective
and see how little the obstacle was.
Therefor we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet
inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal
glory that far outweighs them all. So we
fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on
what is unseen. For what is seen is
temporary, but what is unseen is eternal…..2 Corinthians 4:16-18
We seek the things of this world and we think ourselves so
smart, in our attainments and our intelligence.
Why seek what is temporary and not what is eternal? Where is the wisdom, the intelligence in
that? Oh so we say then, we want to
enjoy what we can while here. Okay, do
you seek to barter your way into Heaven?
To buy passage through the Gate?
Buy a ticket like a sporting event?
Oh just leave it to others?
Hmmm, the Lord walked on water to
show us two things…..Have faith and trust in Him to hold your hand and keep you
afloat….. Also He was telling us that we are all equipped to walk on water for
He gave us all we need to do so. Yet we
go through life acquiring stuff and all that does is weigh us down and we
slowly sink below the waves. Drowning in
our own sea of despair. Let go of the
things of this world and walk on water with the Lord to the distant shore where
awaits eternal glory and peace.
