Good Friday to all and GOD Bless! I pray all are well and happy, safe and thankful.
Beautiful day again here, warming back up ty Lord.
Opened last two days to the prophets, a frequent occurrence this year. Not surprising really, given the times. I videoed my first time other day and tried to get it into facebook, to no avail. I think I should have saved it as a zip file. Hopefully I can still use it, if not try again. So keep eye open for it on my facebook page and please offer comments if you wish, but be positive.
Ok the first is from Nehemiah......
If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the nations, but if you return to Me and obey My commands, then even if your exiled people are at the farthest horizon, I will gather them from there and bring them to the place I have chosen as a dwelling for My name...............Let us start rebuilding.
*He will always welcome each of us back no matter how often we stray
From Nahum......
The Lord is a jealous and avenging GOD; the Lord takes vengeance and is filled with wrath. The Lord takes vengeance on His foes and vents His wrath against His enemies. The Lord is slow to anger but great in power; the Lord will not leave the guilty unpunished..................Who can withstand His indignation? Who can endure His fierce anger? The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him, but with an overwhelming flood He will make an end of Nineveh; He will pursue His foes into the realm of darkness...............Whatever they plot against the Lord He will bring to an end............Although they have allies and are numerous, they will be destroyed and pass away..............Now I will break their yoke from your neck and tear your shackles away............No more will the wicked invade you; they will be completely destroyed..........
The Lord will restore the splendor of Jacob like the splendor of Israel, though destroyers have laid them waste and have ruined their vines..............The chariots storm through the streets, rushing back and forth through the squares. They look like flaming torches; they dart about like lightning..........
You have increased the number of your merchants, til they are more numerous than the stars in the sky, but like locusts they strip the land and then fly away. ..........Your officials like swarms of locusts that settle in the walls on a cold day---but when the sun appears they fly away, and no one knows where......
*Here the Lord tells us how He is and whom angers Him. What He will do to His enemies. Nothing they do is hidden from Him, tis their vanity that leads them to think so. He will free us from their hold on us if you follow Him. He will restore the earth to its former splendor. As we speak the angels of the Lord in chariots flood the land as they have been doing in the in between. The number of rich and powerful has increased exponentially and they are a plague upon the land. They are the locusts that devour the land and the people. Good point here....the Bible is not literal but very symbolic. The plagues spoken of are not necessarily the plagues we read of....
From Proverbs.....
A good name is more desirable than great riches...
Humility is the fear of the Lord...
Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it....
The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor....
The eyes of the Lord keep watch over knowledge, but He frustrates the words of the unfaithful...
One who oppresses the poor to increase his wealth and one who gives gifts to the rich--both come to poverty....
Pat attention and turn your ear to the sayings of the wise; apply your heart to what I teach.....
Do not exploit the poor because they are poor and do not crush the needy in court, for the Lord will take up their case and will exact life for life....
Do not make friends with a hot-tempered person, do not associate with one easily angered, or you may learn their ways and get yourself ensnared.......
Do not wear yourself out to get rich; do not trust your own cleverness. Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle.....
Do not speak to fools, for they will scorn your prudent words....
When we lose focus on the Lord and our minds wonder to and fro, we start to feel anxious and darkness stealthily insinuates itself into our minds. Call out to Jesus when you realize this and He will always bring you back in line. Trust in Him in every facet of your daily life. We are taught to become independent and self-sufficient in life. But as we grow He wants us to relinquish that control to Him. Leave the past in the past, focus on the present and leave Him to care for your future.
Do not try so hard to figure out the why and how, but trust in Him to teach you and reveal all things to you. Even good can come out of our sin and errors, as He transforms our minds and hearts.
GOD Bless! Jesus is Marvelous!
