Good Thursday to all and GOD Bless! Gorgeous two days here in the 70's, I hope it warms up where you are!
Had 4 visitors to my home this morn, and a message. Not sure if one of them gave it to me or not. Have sent 5 to the Light thus far, well not sent, but convinced them to go. I can not send them, it is a choice. Going to the Light for all of us is a choice. This does not mean to say that merely saying I choose to go the Light will get you there, but that it starts you on the path that you must walk to get there. Remember, for those who truly believe in their hearts about Jesus, all things about Him and that He has returned and about GOD, then you will be cleansed and renewed in the spirit to enter the gates. Those who doubt and do not believe shall be judged accordingly.
Opened today to Psalms 119 thru 123 and will share important lines here ....
Plead my cause and redeem me; give me life according to thy promise! Salvation is far from the wicked, for they do not seek thy statutes. Great is thy mercy, O Lord; give me life according to thy justice. Many are my persecutors and my adversaries, but I do not swerve from thy testimonies. I look at the faithless with disgust, because they do not keep thy commands. Consider how I love thy precepts! Preserve my life according to thy steadfast love. The sum of thy Word is Truth; and every one of thy righteous ordinances endures forever....Psalm 119:154-160
In my distress I cry to the Lord, that He may answer me: "Deliver me, O Lord, from lying lips, from a deceitful tongue."...Psalm 120:1-2
Psalm 121...
I lift up my eyes to the hills. From whence does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made Heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot be moved, he who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand. The sun shall not smite you by day, nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all evil; He will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and for ever more.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem! "May they prosper who love you! Peace be within your walls, and security within your towers!" For my brethren and companions' sake I will say, "Peace be within you!" For the sake of the house of the Lord our GOD, I will seek your good....Psalm 122:6-9
Now not merely speaking of the city of Jerusalem here. The name has been interpreted as meaning
foundation or city...yrw and the name of a deity ..Salem. Meaning either the city of the deity Shalem or the foundation of Shalem. This dates back to pre-israelite times in Canaan. Genesis has a reference to Melchizadek King of Salem. To our knowledge the city place has been inhabited since 4000 B. C. The Canaanite city of Shalem became known as the city of Shalom, Peace.
At the time of the Israelite occupation it was known as Jebus, another name for City of the Jebusites.
Chronicles says Jebus is another name for Jerusalem. Samuel recounts David's conquest of Jebus.
The Chronicler placed the offering of Isaac by his father Abraham on the site of what became Jerusalem, specifically the Temple Mount. This connection enhanced the sanctity of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount and contributed to the basis for the Islamic name for the city, El-Quds, or "The Holy" ( City).
Therefore when it says to pray for the peace of Jersualem, we pray for the House of the Lord, not for a principality, or country, or even peoples, but for GOD Himself.
Psalm 123...
To thee I lift up my eyes, O thou who art enthroned in the heavens! Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our GOD, til He have mercy upon us. Have mercy upon us, O Lord, have mercy upon us, for we have had more than enough contempt. Too long our soul has been sated with the scorn of those who are at ease, the contempt of the proud.
When you are weak then He is tender. Allow your weakness to be an opening to His ever present help. Hope in Him for hope is a direct connection to Heaven. The more you hold on to that connection, the more your burdens will be lightened. Cling to it and His glorious love will reach out to you and guide you through all trials.
GOD is our refuge and strength, and ever-present help in trouble....Psalm 46:1
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer...Romans 12:12
May the GOD of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit....Romans 15:13
GOD Bless!
Through my faithful prayer in the Lord he has lifted and comforted my heart after recently having lost someone I love dearly. It's been purely and truly amazing. Praise God!
