Blessings to all this first full day of Summer officially.  I hope all are staying cool in the northern hemisphere and warm in the southern. Hot spell here in most of the USA.  Today we have a Bible message from James.  Now James was a pretty stern, no-nonsense kinda guy.  He laid it on the line so will be interesting to see what comes through.  Second of the three June 20th messages on the second posting and did receive another message yesterday as well so two more after today's.  I do not know if I will be able to post tomorrow tho as will be busy, but Sunday for sure. 

From James 2-5....

Judges...to whom...your neighbor...who commits adultery..has judgment...have no...physical needs...
Abraham...considered righteous....is...offering...his faith..as he was called GOD's friend...
What...direction...dead faith...should become ...believers...will be judged...their whole body...
Creatures are being tamed...a restless evil...cursing...the grapevine....
With the tongue...they curse human beings...both fresh and salty water
You adulterous people...the world becomes...an enemy of GOD....
Submit yourselves...or judges...will...appear...tomorrow...to do..what they ought to do...
You have fattened yourselves...in luxury..you have condemned...the innocent...
The Lord's coming...deliverance...above....
All you need say is a simple "yes" or "no"....
The prayer of the righteous...is effective...
It did not...produce...sins...

What causes fights and quarrels?  Don't they come from your desires that battle within you?  You desire but do not have, so you kill.  You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight.  You do not have because you do not ask GOD.  When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.  You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world means enmity against GOD?  Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend with the world becomes an enemy of GOD.  Or do you think that Scripture says without reason that He jealously longs for the spirit He has caused to dwell in us?  but He gives us more grace.  That is why Scripture says:  "GOD opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble." 
James 4:1-6

Submit yourselves, then, to GOD.  Resist the devil, and he will flee from you......James 4:7

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up...James 4:10

Now listen, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money."  Why, do you not even know what will happen tomorrow.  What is your life?  You are amidst that vanishes.  Instead, you ought to say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that.  As it is, you boast in your arrogant schemes.  all such boasting is evil....James 4:13-16

Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because the misery that is coming on you. ...James 5:1

Time is a construct designed for us to function in this world.  The Lord lives in eternity where time does not exist.  Our minds cannot conceive of this.  We can barely handle 24 hours....

"I AM the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord GOD, "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty."....Revelation 1:8

Have a gracious and penitent heart.  When we are thanking Him for things then we have no time to complain.  Light blocks out dark, positive blocks out negative....

Rejoice in the Lord always.  I will say it again:  Rejoice!  Let your gentleness be evident to all.  the Lord is near.  Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to GOD...Philippians 4:4-6
