Cries of nightmarish delight
Call out into the night
Hounds of hell unleash their fury
Thousands upon thousands pass by in a hurry
I stood by witness to their evil intent
All man tried to circumvent
Overwhelmed by the tidal horde
Hill and valley they poured
Do or die we stood our ground
Guarding the way with nary a sound
None could pass the spiritual gate
For many a soul it was too late
I and the others could only view
Nothing to say, nothing to do
Choice was made at the start
Man went astray, set himself apart
Joyless disdain for Sacred Word
Other voices they only heard
Passersby to this tiny world
Covered in clouds that all swirled
Could only witness plan come to fruition
Shake their heads in admonition
Giants of an age long since passed
In spirit have all amassed
Joining with those all Heavensent
Beings of Light from Sacred Tent
Purposed long ago to play their part
Sharing with man all GOD did impart (gave at the start)
To you were given a key like the rest
To unlock the mystery as will thee attest
One for ones who seek in their heart
Answers to questions asked since the start
The why's, the how's of all things
Of which all of Heaven sings
Intrepid tho many be
Fewer than ever truly see
Told at the beginning path man would take
Foolish in nature, would always forsake
GOD for the flesh, easier road
Ever carrying a heavier load
Doomsayers ply their ill-gotten trade
They too a part long been played
Evangelists in finery spinning their web
Of deception, shall not ebb
Eyes wide shut, followers all stare
Slipping deeper into darkness' lair
Shall I compare thee to a summer's day
Or is thy mind full of clouds/doubts in the way
Drums beat out in spiritual realm
Golden chariots with He at the helm
Thundering herds of valiant steeds
Gathering up each of the flock who heeds
Nations upon nations have come and gone
One after another shall set upon
They of the one chosen long ago
First of the Law He did show
Driven by greed like all the rest
Coming upon them, they shall attest
Two of a witness in due time
Stated in future revealing Rhyme
I shall return to share the words
To thee O'traveler of Sacred Thirds
Til that time soon to pass
Those at Gate who continue to mass
Many in number as you shall see
Souls of theirs, shall set them free...
