Blessings to all this holiday weekend here in the USA.  Hope all are safe and enjoying themselves.  Happy new month of July to all.  Blessings to all those suffering from depression, suicide thoughts and feelings and to those who lost loved ones to suicide and depression.  Also to all those suffering from Alzheimer's and Dementia and their families.  May the Lord's peace and love envelop you all!!
Today's Bible messages come to us from Hosea, Joel, Proverbs and Ecclesiastes so let me get to it.....

From Hosea 14.....

The people...their pregnant women...may offer fruit...but I will heal their waywardness....and love them freely...
I will send down...My fragrance...
I will...answer...who is wise...to the ways of the Lord...
But the rebellious...will stumble...

From Joel 1....

The exact date...does not refer...a powerful spiritual message...
The swarm itself...an invading army...He foretells of is GOD...pouring out His Spirit...on the survivors....
Their hearts...see the return....
They will see when the Lord arrives...

Children...the next generation...have eaten...the fangs of the lioness...(taken the bait)
A mighty army...their branches white...for the betrothed...from the house of the Lord...
The fields are ruined...dried up...
Despair...grief...the fig tree is withered...
You who minister...the elders...the day of the Lord is near...
From the house of our GOD...the seeds are shriveled...
The herds mill about...
Even the flocks....moan....
Lord....burning up...trees of the field...

From Proverbs 31...

Grasping...fear...makes coverings..(Holding onto fear builds walls inside and out)
They who make linens...supply...the merchants with sashes..(They who build the walls supply the merchants, the darkness, with sashes, a hold on themselves)
But a one...who does not eat the bread...does noble things...(They who do not eat of the bait is free and will do noble wise things)
Honor...all that...brings praise ...to the Gate..(Honor those who leave this world in Faith and bring praise to the Lord's Gate)

From Ecclesiastes 1-2...

The collected works...of anonymity...on its course...again, is what....GOD attempts...to tell us...to follow His ways...for living...into judgment..
Everything else is meaningless...but the earth remains...and hurries back to where it arose...(Everything of the world is meaningless as the earth hurries back to its beginnings and the return of Eden)
Round and round it goes....one can say...will be done again...(It repeats what has happened before)
It will not be remembered by those who follow...by wisdom...
All of them...who chase after the wind...cannot be straightened...(Those who pursue the things of this world)
Much of wisdom and knowledge...too...
As with wine...what was good...during the days of their lives...is far...from My wisdom....
I denied...this reward...when I surveyed...all that My hands had done...

The Lord set us free from the slavery of sin, in other words from slavery to this world.  We are free to be who He wanted us to be, yet man, in his infinite lack of wisdom, enslaved himself again and continues to do so.  Each night we need to offer up all this burden of sin, which is the world, to Him to have it taken from us. 
Do not be troubled about tomorrow and the future, for that is a burden we were never intended to take upon ourselves.....

Then you will know the Truth, and the Truth shall set you free....John 8:32

I always find it humorous when talking to someone who swears by the Bible, yet do not believe or see what all is in it.  How can you understand what is unseen, unheard, which is true faith, if you cannot even believe what you see and hear with your physical eyes and ears? 

Jesus answered, "I AM the Way and the Truth and the Life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me."  John 14:6

In other words, He is the way the path to GOD, not a book, not anything of this world that is seen or heard.  Talk to Him, learn from Him first and foremost then when you look to supplement it via other ways, you will now what is Truth and what is not.

For it is GOD who works in you to will and to act according to HIS good purpose....Philippians 2:13

Spending time with Him is patient solitude, enables our burdens to be taken up by Him.  We as humans are always putting this off, which in turn allows the darkness, the devil to take aim.  Family, work, friends, all the drama out there, events, our weaknesses, all can and are used to pull us, to ditract us from spending time with Him.  He is first and foremost, the Alpha and Omega, the one you acknowledge first each day (Alpha) and the last at night (Omega).

Delight yourself in the lord and he will give you the desires of your heart....Psalm 37:4

Not the desires of your mind and body, that is what the devil does.  The desires of your heart and soul, which GOD does....
